2013 Caterpillar 350 kW Generator Set Available Soon The Town of Mansfield is offering for sale a 2013 Caterpillar 350 kW generator set. The generator is currently installed and operational at one of the Towns water treatment facilities and is being replaced as part of a facility upgrade requiring a larger generator. Availability Notice: The Town is offering this generator for sale at this time; however, the successful bidder is advised that the generator will not be available for pickup until the replacement generator has been installed and placed into service. The replacement is currently scheduled to be completed within the next few months or by years end. The Town will coordinate the pickup date with the successful bidder once the existing generator has been removed from service. The transfer switch is included in the sale at no additional cost. Condition: This generator has been professionally maintained throughout its service life by Caterpillar/Milton CAT, with preventative maintenance performed twice annually. The unit was most recently serviced on August 4, 2026, and is in excellent operating condition with no known mechanical or electrical issues. The walk-in sound-attenuated enclosure is equipped with interior lighting, electrical service, and heat, providing a safe and convenient environment for operation and maintenance. Transportation: The exhaust stack mounted on the roof of the enclosure will need to be removed prior to transportation to comply with roadway height restrictions. The Town of Mansfield will provide a crane and operator to lift the generator onto the purchasers truck at the time of pickup. Removal of the exhaust stack, securing the load, transportation, and all other shipping arrangements will be the responsibility of the purchaser unless otherwise specified. This generator remains in active municipal service until its scheduled replacement and will continue to accumulate operating hours until removed from service.
