The Town is offering for sale one portable modular classroom building assembly measuring approximately 70 feet by 60 feetfor reuse. The structure consists of four modular classroom units that were assembled into a single building and installed in approximately the late 90s.. General Description Overall dimensions: Approximately 70 x 60 Four modular classroom units joined together to create one continuous facility Installed in the mid-to-late 1990s Overall condition is good to fair considering its age Electrical Building is served by a dedicated 400-amp, single-phase electrical service. Each modular unit contains its own electrical panel. The Town will disconnect the electrical service and fire alarm system prior to removal by the successful bidder. Mechanical Systems Each modular unit is equipped with its own air-conditioning unit. All air-conditioning units are operational except one unit, which requires servicing. Heating systems are operational in all but two units, which require servicing. Foundation The modular building is supported on approximately 24-inch diameter Sonotube foundations and is set very close to the ground. Due to the limited clearance beneath the structure, the Town was unable to obtain photographs of the underside of the building. Removal Requirements The successful purchaser shall be responsible for: Complete disassembly and removal of all four modular units from the site. Removal of the connector/common area between the modular units. Transportation of all modular units off-site. Furnishing all labor, equipment, permits (if required), and transportation necessary to complete the work. Providing all required insurance for the disassembly, loading, transportation, and removal operations. The Town will provide three (3) 30 yard dumpsters for disposal of the connector area materials. The successful bidder shall load all connector demolition debris into the dumpsters. The Town will be responsible for the removal of all the footings and restoring the site to a grass condition after the project is completed. Schedule Removal work shall be completed within one (1) week after commencement of work. Bidders should ensure they have the personnel, equipment, and resources necessary to complete the project within this required time frame. The best time to do this project is during a vacation break. The site is accessible with heavy equipment such as a crane et al. The modular building is being offered as-is, where-is, with no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied.
