MTA NYCT is offering for auction a 2014 AM GENERAL MV-1 Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (9672). The MV-1 is the only purpose-built wheelchair accessible vehicle available on the market. MV-1 offers a solution to wheelchair users: a purpose-built vehicle with a low wheelchair ramp angle, ample floor space in which to maneuver and the option for a wheelchair-bound individual to ride in the passenger seat. As an alternative, due to its many attractive options, such as a powerful V8 motor, low ramp angle, boxy shape and air suspension, use this vehicle as a moving van or camper. Its versatility is limitless! This vehicle Starts, Runs and Drives. This means that at receipt, the vehicle: 1) Started on its own or with the use of external jump box, 2) Was put into gear, and 3) Moved forward/back and maneuvered throughout the yard under its own power. This designation is no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle is roadworthy and will start at pick-up. This vehicle has not been inspected by a certified mechanic so the overall running condition cannot be verified. INSPECTIONS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Vehicle may have missing parts, dents, scratches, dings as well as other cosmetic or mechanical problems. May require a jump or replacement battery. Please review attached photos and video of the motor running for additional information on condition. Pictures and video are for reference only, as the vehicle's condition may have changed due to extended storage. In-person inspections are highly recommended. All pick-up arrangements, including any necessary transportation are the buyer's responsibility. Please ensure all logistics are in place prior to bidding, as failure to pick up within 2 weeks will result in storage fees, cancellation of the transaction and account suspension. The buyer must have valid US Government issued identification at time of pickup. The vehicle will not be released without proper ID. Pick-up by a designee or third party is permitted with prior notification VIA EMAIL by the buyer. The designee must have valid ID that matches the information provided by the buyer. The buyer’s name (as recorded on the Bill of Sale) will be entered on the back of the title prior to vehicle removal. DO NOT ASK for the TITLE to be left blank! Towing is the recommended method of removal. If planning to drive the vehicle, the buyer is responsible for obtaining all legal documents to do so, including temporary plates and registration.
